High
Quality
We have a range of high quality facilities to tie in with our teaching methods.
Computer facilities
How does a computer help us to teach?
We use interactive computer programs as part of our teaching approach. This
allows your child to be partly taught via a computer, using a series of
'lessons' pre-selected by the teacher. Headphones are worn so the computer
can speak to the pupil. The teacher will still play an important part in
the teaching process, but will be aided by the computer.
What are the advantages of using a computer as a teaching tool?
-The computer provides an immediate response to the pupil's work, which
allows the child to move on much more quickly.
-The computer can constantly track, assess and analyse the work of a pupil,
and provide the teacher with immediate and detailed progress reports. This
allows the teacher to identify particular areas of weakness, which can then
be addressed.
Traditional teaching facilities
We realise it is important not to use computers in isolation, but to combine
their use with a more traditional approach. Therefore we have a wide range
of textbooks, worksheets and equipment which can be integrated into your
child's learning programme. |
