Age group We focus on tuition for children between the ages of 7-14 (Key Stages 2 & 3). However, our emphasis is on providing personal tuition based on the level a child has reached, rather than relating it to age. Therefore there may be cases when it is appropriate to work with children who do not fit into this age group. Ability Ability doesn't matter. It may be that your child struggles to keep up with the rest of his or her class, or it may be that they forge ahead and require more advanced tuition. We work with children at any level to ensure that a child achieves his or her full potential, whatever that may be. Working towards a specific goal Tuition can be geared to specific targets, for example SATS and Common Entrance examinations. In these cases we can focus on specific weaknesses and then provide appropriate revision and practice for the forthcoming examination. Subjects We specialise in the core subjects of English and Mathematics, as the skills acquired in these areas are fundamental in education. Our tuition covers all elements of the National Curriculum in these two subjects, and therefore complements the work that your child will be doing at school. Classes Tuition is available outside school hours and includes Saturdays. We cater for up to 4 children in each teaching session, which lasts 60 minutes. Because we use interactive computer technology as well as personal teacher input, your child is guaranteed ample time and attention.
